It's always funny when a Grammy season starts. The excitement, the emotion, and the flood of new music that you become submerged in – it's a time like no other. I find myself thoroughly immersed in music all year round, thanks to our Label, Raighes Factory. We listen to a ton of music, from playlist submissions, demo submissions and our artist's music. It's a privilege to discover so much talent every month.
However, during Grammy season, something truly magical happens. The intensity multiplies by a factor of ten. It's a time when the air is charged with the energy of countless artists pouring their hearts and souls into their music, all in the hopes of receiving that coveted Grammy recognition.
This year, I made the conscious decision not to submit anything for consideration. Why, you might ask? There are several reasons, but it all comes down to appreciating and acknowledging the immense talent and dedication of the artists who submit their work.
The music industry is a vibrant tapestry of emotions, stories, and experiences. During Grammy season, this tapestry becomes even more intricate, as artists from all corners of the world share their musical journeys. Their dedication to the craft, their relentless pursuit of perfection, and their fearless expression of artistry are all aspects that deserve our recognition and respect.
As I've had the privilege of listening to the abundance of music that poured in this Grammy season, I'm overwhelmed by the emotions and experiences that each track brings. Every note, every lyric, and every arrangement tells a story, and it's an honour to be a part of this musical journey.
